Our Boat Syndicate Structure

Each boat is owned by a Unit Trust which has 10 units available.

You purchase one or more units in the Unit Trust. This means you own a percentage of the boat.

You enjoy usage rights and pay running costs relative to the number of units you own.

The boat syndicate runs for 3 years.

When the boat is sold you get back your share of the proceeds once sale costs and commissions have been deducted.

Your Yacht Syndicate Usage

For each unit purchased in the Trust, owners are allocated 10 weekend days and 24 mid-week days.

Weekend and midweek days are split into Summer and Winter allocations to ensure fair year round usage for everyone.

We find most boat share owners take a mixture of day sails, short breaks and longer cruises.

This gives you the opportunity to experience different waterways and make the most of life on board your own boat.

We run an easy online or telephone service to check availability and make bookings.

The system operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and bookings can be made up to 10 weeks in advance.

As an owner you are not locked in to certain weeks or dates. You can use your boat as you want, subject to availability.

Boat syndicate owners who want to use the boat a lot often purchase more than one unit in the trust.

You can get extra days by using your boat on a standby basis.

Simply call us the afternoon before and if your boat is not booked by another owner, you are welcome to come and use it for a nominal fee. Standby days are available on top your annual entitlement.

Some select boats within our Fractional Boat Ownership fleet have only 5 unit holders per boat.

This means each owner holds a 20% share and can enjoy 20 weekend days plus 48 mid week days and unlimited standby days each year.

Boat Share Maintenance fees

Yacht Syndicate Maintenance fees are billed quarterly in advance by Direct Debit or Direct Deposit.

The fees cover

• Administration and management
• Comprehensive insurance
• Marina and mooring fees
• Servicing and maintenance
• Annual slip, anti-foul and hull polishing
• Linen and laundry
• Contingency fund for repairs and equipment replacement
• Fuel and LPG gas

We are open 7 days a week, 364 days a year (closed Christmas Day) so our friendly team are always on hand to give you support and advice.
