10 minutes with Peter Ash of Northern Beaches Marine Electrical

Peter Ash trained as an auto electrician...

... then 20 years ago he turned his hand to boats and Northern Beaches Marine Electrical was born.

Over the years we've worked with Pete it has become clear that he has a huge knowledge of boats and is something of a marine master craftsman.

We call on him regularly to help maintain our yacht syndicate and charter fleets.

Pete can deal with 90% of electrical problems on our yachts, catamarans and cruisers. He's happy to refit, re-wire or repair.

He can also set up and fix solar systems, water pumps and hydraulic steering systems and windlasses.

All Pete's work is of the highest quality and neat and tidy.

In the boating world, finding someone who can repair things is really useful as replacement items often don't fit in the space available.

And talking of space... we all know that boats are awkward shapes and lots of fittings are specialised and made to measure.

Pete is very skilled on the lathe... and can make brackets for most things.

Pete knows lots of people in the Pittwater area... so if he can't fix your boat... he'll know who can.

When he's not at work Pete is busy restoring a 1982 Hammond ski boat and a 1958 FC Holden to their original pristine condition.
