Lagoon 40 - Exterior

Lagoon 40 - Exterior

The Lagoon 40 is built with weight saving in mind.

The hull, deck and bulkheads are infusion moulded.

With less buoyancy required forward, the bows are finer improving the wave piercing power.

The raised steering station gives you a panoramic view, yet you’re well protected.

And with all controls within easy reach…  this is an easy catamaran to sail.

By applying their racing experience and locating the mast further aft, VPLP have set new standards on a cruising catamaran.

A more balanced rig reduces pitching; a shorter boom makes the mainsail easier to control; a large forward triangle gives more choice of foresails – (a self tacking headsail is standard with options for larger downwind cruising sails); and a relatively narrower and higher square topped mainsail enhances performance.

Easy living

The saloon blends with the cockpit when the door and sliding saloon window are open – but you can close them anytime.  As with all Lagoon’s, there’s heaps of space for relaxing and entertaining.

The vertical windows optimise space yet maximise protection from the sun. Interior woodwork is Apli – a beautiful lightweight composite material.

A practical navigation station lies to port in the saloon and the large saloon table seating five adults to starboard.

Both cockpit and saloon tables can be lowered for two additional doubles.
